About Faren…

My story is not one of self-making, but of being found. Long ago, Jesus met me in a place of deep need, saved my life, gave me freedom, and set me on a path of profound healing. I don’t sit across from my clients as a distant expert, but as a person who has personally navigated the rugged terrain of restoration. I am a vessel that has been intentionally shaped, mended, and put into "working condition" by the Father, healed and delivered for the tasks at hand, yet always grasped by His ongoing refinement.

Born and raised in the East Rand of Johannesburg, South Africa, my roots are in a land of grit and vibrant grace. After a decade in Canada, our journey led me and my husband, Benjamin, to the highlands of Ecuador. Here, we live and serve as missionaries under the Action International umbrella, tending to hearts in the local church, nearby rehabilitation centers and homes, and in visiting kids in rural villages.

Our home is a joyful, noisy sanctuary shared with the dog that became ours, Bazooka, a neurotic bird named Blixim, and our adorable bunnies, Bop and Bamboo. They are daily reminders to take delight. When I’m not in a session, you’ll likely find me leaning into my own love for the wild, which usually involves finding the kind of adventures that keep me humble and reliant on God’s grace.

My approach to therapy is forged in Christ, reality, and heart-to-heart reasoning. I don’t offer clinical theories only engaged from a textbook; I offer a partnership born of my own journey, clinical expertise, and the beautiful testimonies of others. I am a traveler who has found a steady path of grace, and I would be honored to walk a portion of yours with you

If you can suffer, you can succeed
